The Shelta Polished Concrete Umbrella base is a stylish looking umbrella base perfect for those occasions where a classy look is desired. The upright shaft (spigot) is made from 304 Grade stainless steel and gives the base an elegant finish. The Shaft (spigot) on the Granite Base has a side screw that is tightened to hold the umbrella securely.

*You may be tempted to go for a larger base to get a heavier overall weight however if the pole diameter on your umbrella will fit a smaller size base size you are better off with that one as too much room to move around where the pole of your umbrella finishes and where the upright shaft on the base starts can damage both the umbrella pole and the shaft on the base. Essentially domestic umbrellas should not be left unattended or left up in windy conditions, even when in a secure base, as they may still fall over and damage the umbrella and anything or anyone around.
