It is very important you read this information to understand what you can and can’t do once you have placed an order. The Freight cost (based on your location and items purchased) is automatically calculated during the checkout process BEFORE you make payment so if you are not happy with the freight cost there is still time to cancel the order before you make payment.
If no Freight cost appears when you are trying to make a purchase you will need to contact our office for a freight quote as that particular item may be too large to go to your destination.
Freight prices are charged based on the physical or cubic weight of the package, whichever is higher. We ship orders via a wide range of freight companies including Australia Post, Toll, TNT, E-Go, Allied, Northline, Fastway Couriers, Brizfreight, etc). Due to the restrictions different freight companies have with length and locations we cannot use the courier of your choice.
When we book your package in for shipping, if it costs less than what you have been charged we will refund the overpayment of freight back into your account. We only charge customers what it costs us to package, insure and deliver orders.

The Shade Centre uses a variety of different freight companies as well as Australia Post to transport goods. We will send your order with the company we believe will be most suited based on the goods ordered, delivery location, price and expected delivery time.
All deliveries are Door to Door where possible however in some cases, Regional Townships/Islands/Isolated Communities/etc, delivery will be to nearest freight depot for customer to collect.
All Items are sent with Insurance
The Shade Centre packages all items in a way that we believe will ensure they arrive safely and in good condition.
If any damage occurs within transit we will endeavour to arrange a quick solution to any problem provided a claim is made within 24 hours of delivery (See our Returns Policy page for more info).
For all Courier Deliveries we ask that you provide an address and phone number where someone is in attendance during weekday business hours to sign for and accept delivery.
We also need instructions on where you authorise the courier to leave the package on your premises if no one is in attendance to sign for delivery.
We cannot despatch orders until we have Delivery Instructions and a Phone Number.
We cannot be held responsible for customers providing incorrect address details. Please ensure there are no typing errors when completing the checkout as any items returned to us due to an incorrect address being supplied by the customer will be subject to a re-delivery fee (in some cases this may be more then the original delivery fee).
The Shade Centre endeavours to have all orders packaged and despatched within 48 hours of order being placed and payment being received however there may be delays in despatch due to freight companies not collecting on public holidays/weekends/seasonal holidays/severe weather conditions etc.

Rest of Qld: up to 12 working days
Sydney and Canberra Metro Area: up to 3 working days
NSW and ACT Regional Areas: up to 12 working days
Melbourne Metro Area: up to 5 working days
VIC Regional Areas: up to 12 working days
Adelaide Metro Area: up to 7 working days
SA Regional Areas: up to 12 working days
Perth Metro Area: up to 9 working days
WA Regional Areas: up to 15 working days
Tasmania: up to 15 working days
NT: up to 15 working days
* These times do not take into account busy periods (xmas, easter, etc), seasonal closures and public holiday periods.
* Working Day = Monday to Friday (not including local Public Holidays)
If you order an item that needs to be ordered into our store then the supply time will need to be added to the approximate delivery time. Approx Supply time is listed in the relevant ads
